Feb 15 (econotimes.com) - Just after McDonald’s Japan resumed selling large and medium-size French fries, Mos Burger announced that it was suspending sales of both small and large-size French fries side orders due to hampered supply lines and a lack of potatoes.
Since Mos doesn’t offer a regular-size French fry, this means you can’t order any.
Sales of Mos’ “potato drink sets” and variety packs, which also include French fries, have also been suspended.
According to the Mos Burger website, it imports the potatoes used in its fries from Canada and the US.
The Japan-founded, southern California-inspired rival Mos Burger blamed ongoing complications from the coronavirus pandemic and inclement weather as the problems it’s dealing with, which were the same issues McDonald’s grappled with.
