Elementary School that Serves Alcohol?

Mar 14 (Japan by Food) - In today’s video, we are going back to school! More specifically, we spent the day attending sixth grade in an elementary-school-themed izakaya.

This quirky bar looks just like a Japanese elementary school, including classrooms, a planetarium, a principal's office, and a teacher's room. Grab your cute bucket hat, look both ways before crossing the street, and join Shizuka in this unique izakaya.

Like the rest of the bar, the lunch set here is based on the classic kyushoku, aka school lunch. A lot of these menu items are a twist on Japanese school lunch favorites like the sweet fried bread agepan and the soft noodle spaghetti-inspired dish sofuto men. Of course, just like in school, sometimes you have to work with others, and the byFood team makes a special appearance to help Shizuka finish her assignment. Surprise flavors- and a surprise quiz- await Shizuka in our spotlight on one of the most fun and silly izakayas in Tokyo.
