Jun 05 (Kabuki In-Depth) - Our monthly preview of the upcoming kabuki performances will cover this time shows at the Kabuki-za and National Theatre in Tokyo, the Hakata-za theatre in Fukuoka, and one tours and several galas and special performances.

Some of the stars appearing on stage this June will be Bandō Tamasaburō V, Onoe Kikugorō VII, Nakamura Shikan VIII and Matsumoto Hakuō II, while the younger generations will appear in some interesting roles, such as Ichikawa Ennosuke IV, Onoe Kikunosuke V, Ichikawa Somegorō VIII and Nakamura Tsurumatsu II.

Nara Faces Backlash Over K-Pop Concert
