Mar 02 (NHK) - Okawa Ryuho, the founder of the religious organization Happy Science, died on Thursday. He was 66.
Informed sources tell NHK that Okawa was found lying unconscious in his home in Tokyo in the early hours of Tuesday. He was sent to a hospital and died on Thursday.
A spokesperson for the Happy Science Group told NHK that there is no comment just for now, but it will release details later.
According to the website of Happy Science, Okawa was born in July 1956 in Tokushima Prefecture in western Japan. After graduating from the University of Tokyo, he joined a trading company based in Tokyo. In 1986, he gave up a career in business and established Happy Science. ...continue reading
