LA Dodgers Umumkan Kontrak 12 Tahun dengan Pitcher Jepang Yamamoto

Jan 09 (NHK) - Los Angeles Dodgers mengumumkan kontrak 12 tahun dengan pitcher asal Jepang, Yamamoto Yoshinobu, pada hari Rabu.

Pitcher kidal berusia 25 tahun ini ingin pindah ke Major League Baseball dari tim Jepang, Orix Buffaloes.

Dodgers mengutip pernyataannya, "Saya sangat bersemangat untuk mengenakan seragam Dodger Blue dan tidak sabar untuk bermain di depan penonton yang memadati Stadion Dodger."

Media Amerika Serikat melaporkan bahwa kontrak tersebut bernilai 325 juta dolar, jumlah uang yang paling besar yang pernah diberikan kepada seorang pitcher MLB.

Yamamoto akan berduet dengan bintang Jepang, Ohtani Shohei, yang baru-baru ini bergabung dengan Dodgers.
