'Couriers' Slash Shinjuku Resident, Steal Luxury Watch

TOKYO, Jan 15 (News On Japan) - Two men disguised as delivery workers forced their way into an apartment in Shinjuku, Tokyo, on Sunday, slashing a male resident and fleeing with a luxury watch.

According to Tokyo police, just after 7:00 PM, two men carrying a cardboard box and posing as delivery workers visited an apartment in Shinjuku, Shinjuku Ward.

When the male resident opened the door, the men forced their way into the room, slashed him with a bladed weapon, stealing his watch before escaping.

The victim, suffering minor injuries, managed to flee to the balcony before asking a female passerby to call police.

Police have released descriptions of the suspects in their ongoing investigation. One man is said to be in his 20s, roughly 160 cm tall, clad in green and yellow work attire. His accomplice is described as being in his 30s, about 175 cm tall, with a sturdy build, and dressed entirely in black.

As the search intensifies, Tokyo Metropolitan Police are scrutinizing nearby security camera footage in hopes of locating the two suspects.
