Slash Horror "Doku Musume" Hits Screens

TOKYO, Apr 05 (News On Japan) - Eisuke Naito, famed director of Forgiven Children (2020), Yattaman (2009) and Let's Make the Teacher Have a Miscarriage Club (2011), chronicles the disturbing events of a newlywed family's life in his latest horror film "Doku Musume," released April 5, 2024 (Friday).

The wife, Hagino, moves into a second-hand detached house with her husband and daughter, Moeka. For her, who had an unfortunate upbringing, this was the happy family life she had dreamed of. However, one day, while Hagino was out, she received a distressing call from her daughter, Moeka, begging for help. "Please buy a shortcake and cola," she said. Rushing home, Hagino found her house in disarray, Moeka with her clothes torn to shreds, and an unknown girl straddling Moeka, clutching large scissors. The girl's name was Chi-chan. She used to live in this house but was supposed to have left town after causing an incident. Her presence exposes the "poison" that Hagino's family, which seemed happy at first glance, was trying to hide, heralding the beginning of days like a nightmare...
