4 Easy Ways to Make Gold in World of Warcraft

Apr 29 (News On Japan) - There are tons of ways to earn gold in World of Warcraft. Yet, among all these complex reputation grinds and tricky item flipping at the Auction House, it can sometimes be challenging to find simple and effective methods to fill your pockets with some coins.

Earning gold in general is quite tedious and often requires additional investments for profit, making it tough even for experienced players, let alone newcomers and those who get back to the game after a long break.

But fear not! Today, we're here to share a few simple ways to earn WoW gold without any extra costs or hassle. We have to warn you right away, though: you should not expect to become a millionaire overnight with these methods. They're more about small but steady income, perfect for those looking to make a little extra alongside their regular farming activities or for those building up a starting capital for more advanced gold-making ventures.

Either way, we hope you'll find a couple of useful tips here. So buckle up, and let's dive in!

Leveling

Leveling isn't just about gaining experience; it can actually bring in some decent gold. When you level up through quests, you earn both raw gold and various materials and items that you can sell for profit. Plus, you're leveling up your professions at the same time, which can greatly aid in gold making if you choose gathering or crafting ones. When Timewalking dungeons are live, you can also get old world materials, which can be sold for gold as well.

Shipment of Goods

The "Crate of the Art" and "Great Crates!" quests pop up while you're leveling up your reputation with the Dream Wardens. The deal is to obtain one or several Shipment of Goods items, depending on the quest, by turning in various crafting materials to Vashonir. This way, you can earn gold simply by farming these items or even flipping them on the Auction if you have the time and skill for it.

The items needed for the exchange rotate, so pay attention to quest requirements during weekly resets to know what you need to target and which professions to focus on. Typically, you'll need Mining, Skinning, and Herbalism, which are great gold sources on their own, allowing you to gather and sell useful and high-demand items. What you farm for the Shipment of Goods are pretty pricey reagents that can fetch you a decent profit.

Old Raid Farming

Here it's all pretty straightforward: choose old raids like Terrace of Endless Springs or Isle of Thunder and get started with your runs. If your character is leveled enough, it won't be too hard for you to breeze through such a raid. For maximum gain, set the raid difficulty to Mythic. Overall, you can easily earn up to 1000 gold per run from raw gold drops and vendoring earned loot, depending on the instance.

World Quests

Often overlooked by gold makers for some reason, World Quests actually provide a very simple and almost effortless way to earn those coins. To access the Dragonflight world quests, you'll first need to complete the main campaign on Dragon Isles. Doing this on just one character will grant access to the rest automatically. If you haven't tackled the Dragonflight campaign yet, you can still complete World Quests from previous expansions like BfA and Legion, which also offer good gold rewards.

Among the Dragonflight quests, Dragonrider Racing deserves a special mention, as it guarantees you around 500 to 550 gold on average. It's an incredibly easy quest where you simply need to complete the course, without any need to set a record time or anything like that. Just imagine: in just 2-3 minutes of flying, you can earn five hundred gold!

Currently, the total gold you can receive from World Quests ranges from 10,000 to 15,000. While it may not be a huge sum and you'll have to invest some time to complete the tasks, raw gold is still raw gold. It's guaranteed, does not depend on Auction prices, and comes with minimal effort. This method can help you build up a decent capital, which you can then invest in more advanced strategies, such as playing the Auction House.

Bonus: The Motherlode Dungeon

The dungeon can be found in southern Kezan for Alliance players or southern Dazar'alor for Horde. What you need to do here is pull all the mobs before the first boss. It only takes a few minutes — just mount up and make sure you're getting aggro to all the mobs you can. Having good gear and a tanky class wouldn't hurt because it's a really big pull and damage can stack up pretty quickly. You might need to pull some mobs with AoE if they don't aggro automatically, but eventually, you should gather quite an impressive crowd. By finishing them off you can get around 700 raw gold and then sell the earned loot to increase your earnings several times over.
