Jun 15 (News On Japan) - n a world where kaiju threaten people's daily lives, Kafka Hibino once dreamed of joining the Japan Defense Force to fight these monsters. However, he eventually gave up on his dream and started working in a kaiju clean-up crew.

'Let's eradicate all kaiju together.' These words, once exchanged with his childhood friend and Third Unit Captain Mina Ashiro, along with his encounter with the aspiring Defense Force member Reno Ichikawa, reignite Kafka's passion to pursue his dream once more. But, just as he begins his journey, a mysterious small kaiju grants him the power to transform into a mighty kaiju himself!

Now known as 'Kaiju No. 8' and hunted throughout Japan, Kafka refuses to give up on his dream of becoming a Defense Force member and continues to face kaiju disasters head-on.
