shanghai, Jul 11 (News On Japan) - A local man, Sun Jian, who introduced Japanese heroes such as 'Kamen Rider' to China, was honored by the Japanese government at the Japanese Consulate General in Shanghai on July 10th.
Twenty-one years ago, Sun founded a company dealing with Japanese intellectual property (IP) and has since been dedicated to spreading Japanese culture.
Japanese heroes and anime are extremely popular among Chinese children, and the event was filled with enthusiastic cheers.
Sun Jian stated, "By importing Japanese works, we can better understand each other's countries. At the same time, we can also spread values such as justice, cooperation, and courage to children."
Sun was also recognized for his social contributions, including sending characters to hospitals in China to encourage hospitalized children.
