NAGOYA, Apr 25 (News On Japan) - A man who was charged with committing an act of abuse against his young daughter and distributing a video of the incident through a private social media group admitted to the allegations during his first court appearance.
According to the indictment, the man carried out the act at his home in October last year and recorded the scene, later sharing the footage with members of an online group he had created. He has been charged with violating laws related to non-consensual conduct and the production and distribution of exploitative material involving minors.
At the first hearing held on April 23rd at the Ichinomiya Branch of the Nagoya District Court, the defendant stated, "There is no mistake," acknowledging the charges against him.
In its opening statement, the prosecution asserted that the man had developed inappropriate feelings toward his daughter from an early age and used her to fulfill personal impulses. Prosecutors further alleged that he distributed the video to gain approval from members of the group and satisfy a desire for recognition.
The case will continue as the court examines further evidence and witness testimony.
