Jul 16 (News On Japan) - A new trailer has been released for the upcoming film Black Showman, which opens in theaters on September 12th. The story begins with the murder of Eiichi Kamio, a former junior high school teacher. His daughter Mayo (played by Kasumi Arimura), who was just two months away from getting married, returns to her hometown after receiving sudden news of his death.
Since the spread of COVID-19, the town has seen a sharp decline in tourism and has lost much of its former vitality. Amid this atmosphere, the murder shocks the local community.
Why was Eiichi, a beloved teacher admired by many of his students, killed?
Mayo, desperate to uncover the truth, is approached by her uncle Takeshi Kamio (played by Masaharu Fukuyama), a former magician once famed in Las Vegas. Armed with exceptional sleight of hand and near-mentalism-level powers of observation and interrogation, Takeshi joins forces with Mayo to uncover the mystery behind the killing of their beloved family member.
