TOKYO, Jul 28 (News On Japan) - Tokyo Metropolitan Police have arrested two additional suspects in connection with the prolonged confinement and assault of a business associate, bringing new developments to a case that has already led to the arrest of a construction company president.
The newly detained suspects include 21-year-old office worker Yu Ueno, who is believed to have played a supervisory role in monitoring the victim during the confinement period. The man, who worked at a client company, was allegedly held captive and beaten over a span of three months.
According to investigators, Ueno has reportedly stated, "I have no words," during questioning.
Police are continuing to investigate the extent of each suspect’s involvement and the motive behind the prolonged confinement.
