GUNMA, Sep 05 (News On Japan) - A steam locomotive derailed during a test run on the JR Joetsu Line in Gunma Prefecture late on Thursday morning.
According to JR East’s Takasaki branch, the incident occurred around 11:45 a.m. on the outbound track between Gokan and Kamimoku stations in Minakami Town.
The train had no passengers on board, and none of the nine crew members were injured. JR East is investigating the cause of the derailment.
