Bus Hits Osaka Expo Roof Ring

OSAKA - A bus collided with the symbolic “Grand Roof Ring” of the Osaka-Kansai Expo shortly after 8 p.m. on September 8th.

According to police, around 20 people connected to the venue were on board when the bus attempted to enter a road beneath the ring from the outside, hitting a support pillar. The impact shattered a window, but no injuries were reported.

The Japan Association for the 2025 World Exposition stated that the incident caused no structural problems, confirming that the safety of the ring remains intact.
