OSAKA, Sep 28 (News On Japan) - An exhibition dedicated to Tezuka Osamu’s classic manga Black Jack will open on September 27th at the Abeno Harukas Art Museum in Osaka, with a preview event held for the press ahead of the launch.
The exhibition brings together more than 500 original manuscripts drawn by Tezuka, along with materials that shed light on the background of how the work was created. Visitors will also find interactive photo spots that recreate the world of Black Jack using costumes and props.
Yoshiki Sawa, professor emeritus at Osaka University who has conducted research into regenerative medicine using iPS cells, attended the preview and noted: “From the question of how to cure diseases to the importance of life itself, Black Jack conveys a profound sense of humanism.”
The exhibition will run from September 27th through December 14th at the Abeno Harukas Art Museum.
