TOKYO - A violent attack early on October 20th in Ibaraki Town, Ibaraki Prefecture left one man dead and another injured after they were stabbed with what appeared to be a bladed weapon inside an apartment. Police are investigating the case as a murder.
Authorities received an emergency call at around 4:30 a.m. reporting that “a man had been stabbed in the abdomen” at an apartment in the Nagaoka area of Ibaraki Town.
According to police and fire officials, three foreign men were transported to a hospital following the incident. One of them, an Indonesian national, was pronounced dead, while the condition of another remains unclear. The third man sustained a minor hand injury.
Investigators believe the man with the light injury may have knowledge of the circumstances leading up to the attack and are questioning him as part of their ongoing murder investigation.
