TOKYO, Oct 23 (News On Japan) - The Metropolitan Police Department has arrested Naoki Satake, an unemployed suspect, on suspicion of robbery resulting in injury after he allegedly sprayed tear gas on a man and tried to steal 53 million yen in Tokyo’s Edogawa Ward in September.
According to police, six men have already been arrested in connection with the case, and Satake is believed to have been in charge of obtaining the tear gas used in the attack.
Satake denies the allegations, but investigators suspect the crime was carried out as part of an organized operation.
