Headless Body Found Near Yamashita Park in Yokohama

YOKOHAMA - Police in Yokohama are investigating a possible case of corpse abandonment after a headless and partially dismembered body was found floating near Yamashita Park.

Authorities said the remains, discovered on November 1st in waters off the park’s seawall, were missing both the head and lower body. The victim is believed to be a woman between her 20s and 50s. The cause of death remains unknown, but police estimate that she died within the past several months.

Investigators have launched a full inquiry, treating the case as an incident of illegal disposal of a corpse.
