KYOTO, Mar 22 (News On Japan) - A media preview was held ahead of the reopening of Toei Kyoto Studio Park, where a large-scale renewal is set to transform the site into a hub for immersive historical experiences and nighttime tourism.
The revamped park introduces a new live performance titled "Hanayome Dochu," which depicts a day in the Edo period across the entire village, allowing visitors to encounter scenes of the story as they walk through the grounds, creating a theatrical, participatory experience.
A central pillar of the renewal is the promotion of nighttime tourism and the capture of inbound demand, with operating hours extended until 9 p.m. Visitors will be able to take part in hands-on training experiences that teach samurai etiquette and discipline, alongside a variety of traditional cultural activities such as flower arrangement and tea ceremony.
The обновation also features a newly introduced adults-only area, restricted to those aged 18 and over, offering more intense and unconventional attractions, as well as food and beverage outlets designed with social media appeal in mind.
The first phase of the renewal will begin on March 28th, with further developments planned in stages through 2028.
