Shiki Theatre Company Unveils New Nagoya Venue

NAGOYA - A new theater operated by the Shiki Theatre Company was unveiled on May 1st in Nagoya’s Atsuta Ward, replacing the former Nagoya Shiki Theatre that closed in February, with the new MTG Nagoya Shiki Theatre increasing seating capacity by about 100 while prioritizing clear stage visibility from every seat.

The venue incorporates elements from the previous theater, including seats and door handles, creating a blend of familiarity and new design. From the rear of the second-floor seating area, the steep incline allows audiences to feel closer to the stage, enhancing the viewing experience.

The theater’s opening performance is scheduled for July 5th.
