Teens Arrested for Spraying Fire Extinguishers at Police Station

AICHI - Three youths, including a high school student and a junior high school student, have been arrested on suspicion of obstructing police duties after allegedly stealing fire extinguishers and spraying them toward a police station in Kasugai, Aichi Prefecture.

Those arrested are an unemployed 18-year-old man of no fixed address, a 17-year-old high school student from Kasugai and a 14-year-old junior high school student.

According to police, the three are suspected of stealing four fire extinguishers installed at parks and other locations in Kasugai and then spraying them toward Kasugai Police Station.

They are also suspected of throwing a fire extinguisher at a police patrol car.

Police said all three have admitted to the allegations.

Investigators believe the group may have repeatedly carried out similar acts and are looking into possible additional offenses.
