TOKYO - Guests were evacuated from a restaurant at Tokyo Disneyland on August 30 after smoke emerged from a customer's bag, with police investigating a mobile battery inside the bag as the suspected source.
Police said an emergency call was made shortly after 4:30 p.m. reporting that smoke was coming from a guest's belongings at a restaurant inside Tokyo Disneyland in Chiba Prefecture.
All customers were evacuated from the restaurant, and no injuries were reported.
Oriental Land said a mobile battery was inside the guest's belongings.
Police believe the smoke originated from the mobile battery and are investigating the cause of the incident.
