Dec 08 (NHK) - Japanese electronic payment service PayPay says it was hacked from Brazil late last month.
The company says data on its 2.6 million member stores were targeted in the attack on November 28.
PayPay says hackers may have accessed over 20 million data items including store owners' names and some of their bank account details.
It says it has not found any cases of the data being downloaded or used so far.
The firm says it is ramping up efforts to make sure it is not hacked again.
