Dec 09 (NHK) - The operator of an online-shopping site selling goods related to a Japanese pop group says it has been targeted by cyberattacks.
It says the credit-card information of more than 44,000 people may have been stolen.
Entertainment agency LDH JAPAN has a site selling goods related to its popular dance and vocal group "EXILE."
The agency says it received a warning from a credit-card company on October 15 that card information for some of its customers may have been stolen.
It stopped services on the shopping site to carry out an investigation.
The agency says it found the site's payment program had been tampered with. It says the credit-card details of 44,663 people who signed up or changed the card-number registered on the site between August 18 and October 15 may have been stolen.
The stolen card information includes names, numbers, expiration dates and security codes.
