Woman Arrested in Connection to Stabbed Corpses Found Under Floorboards in Tokyo

TOKYO, Jan 20 (News On Japan) - Police investigating a couple in their fifties found dead three days ago under the floor of their house in Adachi, Tokyo, have arrested a 30-year-old woman of Filipino nationality, an acquaintance of the couple, on suspicion of abandoning the bodies.

The bodies of self-employed Takahashi Tokuhira (55) and his wife Kimie (52), who lived in the house, were discovered on January 16, believed to have been disposed of under the floor.

The couple's son, who lived with them, had reported their disappearance two days before the bodies were discovered. Following this, the police searched under the house and found the two bodies, later identified as Mr. and Mrs. Takahashi.

Multiple stab wounds were found on the upper bodies of the deceased, with forensic examinations revealing that the cause of death for both was heart damage from stab wounds to the chest.

Footage from a security camera led police to the Filipino national, who claimed, "I don't know anything about it," denying any involvement.

According to investigative sources, the suspect was previously in a relationship with the Takahashi couple's eldest son and is suspected to have had some financial disputes with them.

The Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department is further investigating the circumstances surrounding the deaths of the couple.
