TOKYO, Jan 22 (News On Japan) - A man was rushed to hospital on Sunday afternoon after being found collapsed and bleeding near Shibuya's Hachiko statue after stabbing himself in the thigh.
Shortly after 3:00 PM, a report was made to emergency services by a passerby in front of JR Shibuya Station, stating that a man in his 20s to 30s was stabbing his thigh with a knife.
When the police arrived at the scene, they found a man in his 20s collapsed, bleeding from his thigh, and he was subsequently transported to the hospital.
The man remained conscious and informed the responding police officers that he had stabbed himself in the thigh.
The incident took place near Hachiko Plaza at Shibuya Station, and for a brief period, the area surrounding the scene was in a state of commotion.
