AICHI, Jan 22 (News On Japan) - A spate of violent attacks by a gang of four men on the streets of Ichinomiya in central Japan on Sunday evening has left one man with head injuries.
A man in his twenties was walking home in the small town of Kisogawa when suddenly he was struck from behind with a metal bat by a group of four men at around 6:30 PM.
The assailants stole the man's bag, which contained cash and his driver's license, and left the scene without uttering a word.
The victim suffered head injuries and was transported to the hospital, but fortunately, his life is not in danger.
According to police, one of the four men was wearing a neck warmer.
Approximately 20 minutes before this incident, another attack occurred on a street about 600 meters away, where a 52-year-old man was suddenly assaulted by a group of four men wielding a bat. The police are investigating this as a robbery and assault case, including the likelihood the same group is responsible.
