Man Under Police Investigation Dies After Jumping from Condo

TOKYO, Jan 26 (News On Japan) - A tragic incident occurred on Thursday morning when a man fell to his death from a condominium in Tokyo while police investigators were preparing to search the premises in connection with a case.

According to sources involved in the investigation, police are considering the possibility that the man jumped from his room.

The incident unfolded just before 8:00 AM when investigators from the Kanagawa Prefectural Police Headquarters arrived at a condominium in Koto Ward, Tokyo, to conduct a search related to an ongoing investigation. While the officers were waiting for a male resident in his 30s to answer after ringing the intercom, a passerby discovered the man had fallen and was lying on the ground. The man was later pronounced dead, and the police are now investigating the circumstances under the assumption that he may have leaped from his room.

The Kanagawa Prefectural Police Headquarters has issued a statement saying, "We are currently confirming the facts of the situation." This incident has raised questions about the circumstances leading up to the man's fall and the nature of the investigation that brought the police to his residence. Further details are awaited as the police continue their inquiry into this unfortunate event.
