Movie 'Kakushigoto' Preview Released

"Hidden Things" to Premiere on June 7th at TOHO Cinemas Hibiya, Theatre Shinjuku, and Nationwide

TOKYO, Feb 07 (News On Japan) - Picture book author Chisako, played by An, reluctantly returns to the countryside to care for her estranged father, Takuzo (Eiji Okuda), who has been diagnosed with dementia. While struggling with the day-to-day challenges of living with a father who feels like a stranger, Chisako comes across a boy (Shoma Nakatsu) who has lost his memory due to an accident.

She discovers signs of abuse on the boy's body and, in an effort to protect him, Chisako lies about being his mother and begins to live with him. Thus begins the life of Chisako, the boy, and her progressively dementia-afflicted father—a life that started with a single "lie." Initially awkward, the three slowly bond and cultivate a new form of family. However, their happy life together is not destined to last.
