New Fantasy Film 'Island Cats' Features Talking Felines

Jul 29 (News On Japan) - A new fantasy film titled 'Island Cats,' which anthropomorphizes three stray cats living on Kitagi Island, a remote island in Okayama Prefecture, has released its trailer. The film portrays girls dressed as cats speaking in subtitled "cat language" and interacting with humans as they go about their lives on the island.

Directed by Akiyoshi Imazeki, known for works such as 'Kamaishi Ramen Story,' the film stars Raiki Kamata of 'Spring Crystal,' Koko Masui of 'Heart Lid - In a Snowy Town,' Hime Misaki of 'Spring Fragrance,' and features Takeshi Rijyu, Yoko Oshima, and Hinako Saeki.
