From Japan, top contenders Daiki Hashimoto and Shinnosuke Oka competed in the men's all-around final. Hashimoto, aiming for consecutive victories, suffered a significant setback with a fall on the pommel horse during his second event, dropping him sharply in the rankings.
In contrast, the 20-year-old rising star Oka performed solidly. Entering the fifth event tied for third place, Oka delivered a flawless routine on the parallel bars, earning a score above 15 points and propelling himself to the top position.
Finally, in the high bar event, the young star clinched the gold medal, achieving a double crown with his earlier team victory and securing Japan's fourth consecutive gold in the men's all-around gymnastics.
