Dashcam Footage Captures Collapse of 30-Meter Crane

SAPPORO, Aug 06 (News On Japan) - Dramatic dashcam footage has captured a 30-meter crane collapsing in Sapporo's Shiroishi Ward, with the arm tilting towards the road, snapping in the middle, and falling over at a new hospital construction site.

The fallen crane, approximately 30 meters in length, caused a two-lane road to be closed for half a day on August 2.

A man in his 60s, operating the crane truck, sustained minor injuries in the accident.

According to the police, the crane truck was moving within the construction site with its arm extended at the time of the accident.

The police are conducting a detailed investigation into the cause of the accident.
