Nissan Conducts Trial for Temperature-Lowering Paint

TOKYO, Aug 06 (News On Japan) - Nissan is testing a new paint developed from Chinese materials technology that can lower a car's temperature by reflecting sunlight and applying radiative cooling.

The paint reduced the roof temperature by 12 degrees Celsius and the interior ceiling temperature by 5 degrees Celsius. This innovation aims to decrease air conditioning power consumption and support carbon neutrality. Nissan has set a goal to reduce carbon dioxide emissions per vehicle by 52% by 2030 as part of its decarbonization efforts.
