Amazon's Ring Gains Ground in Fukuoka

FUKUOKA - Amazon held a product briefing for its security brand "Ring" in Fukuoka City on April 21st, aiming to boost recognition in Fukuoka Prefecture, where the population continues to grow.

Since launching in Japan in April 2022, Amazon Ring has expanded its product lineup beyond outdoor security cameras to include indoor models designed to help monitor pets and family members.

By installing a dedicated app on smartphones or tablets, users can check real-time footage, talk remotely with visitors, and sound a siren to warn off suspicious individuals.

The cameras also offer cloud storage for recorded footage, enabling users to retain data even if the physical device is destroyed—an added layer of security that strengthens overall crime prevention.

A company representative said, "We first want people to become aware of smart security and take an interest in it."
