Feb 23 (NHK) - Japanese movie director Mizushiri Yoriko's "Ordinary Life" has won the runner-up Silver Bear Jury Prize at the 75th Berlin International Film Festival in the international short film section.
Winners in major sections were announced on Saturday, followed by an award ceremony on the same day. The competition's top award is called the Golden Bear award.
The annual festival is considered one of the world's three major film showcases, alongside the ones in Cannes and Venice.
Mizushiri's "Ordinary Life" is an animated film made with delicate colors and touches. The director says it depicts the idea that "the succession of moments that we repeat over and over is never the same, and everything changes and wavers." ...continue reading
