TOKYO - A 12-year-old British girl visiting Japan on a family trip has been reported missing after surveillance footage showed her leaving a private lodging facility alone in Tokyo's Ota Ward on the morning of August 13.
The missing girl has been identified as Carmelita Rakudesha Paul, who had traveled to Japan from Britain with her family.
Security camera footage captured Paul leaving the accommodation by herself on Thursday morning, August 13.
Paul is about 160 centimeters tall and was wearing a light blue sleeveless shirt and a black-and-white checkered skirt when she disappeared.
She was carrying only several thousand yen in cash and did not have a smartphone with her.
Tokyo police are seeking information about her whereabouts.
