The Kyoto District Court has sentenced a doctor to 18 years in prison for the killing of a woman with the incurable disease ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis), following her request.

Seorang dokter telah dihukum 18 tahun penjara oleh Pengadilan Distrik Kyoto karena melakukan pembunuhan terhadap seorang wanita yang mengalami penyakit tak dapat sembuh, ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis), sesuai dengan keinginannya.
