Jul 02 (NHK) - Climbing season at Mount Fuji has started for trails in Yamanashi Prefecture, central Japan.
The highest mountain in Japan opened to trekkers on Friday for the first time in three years without any anti-coronavirus restrictions in place.
By around noon, many people had climbed to the top of the mountain although the summit was covered with clouds. The climbers enjoyed taking photos in front of Kusushi Shrine at the top.
