TOKYO, Jun 02 (NOJ) - Japan's House of Councillors pass a law Wednesday extending the deadline for collecting expressway tolls, which had been until 2065, by 50 years to 2115, TV Asahi reports.
When Japan Highway Public Corporation was privatized in 2005, it had a 40 trillion yen in debt for construction costs, etc., and planned to repay it by 2050 and make expressways free after that.
