Exploring Japan's Nature: Discovering Hidden Snakes And Spiders!

Aug 04 (The Wild Report) - You might know Japan's bustling cities and rich culture, but let me take you on an adventure into the incredible Japanese wilderness as we search for beautiful snakes and supersized spiders!

Searching for wildlife in Japan has been one of the most amazing experiences of my career as a conservation biologist, allowing me to experience a completely different landscape, new species, and different land management practices than I'm used to. My goal, as usual, was to find and catch a new species of snake, but on this adventure we not only found some beautiful Japanese rat snakes but also get to meet a huntsman spider that was hanging out beside the trail.
