'Angsa Whooper' Imigran Siberia yang menghiasi Danau Biwa

Feb 13 (News On Japan) - Danau Biwa, yang berada di Prefektur Shiga, telah menjadi tempat yang indah untuk kedatangan angsa whooper, yang sering disebut sebagai "pembawa pesan musim dingin."

Sejak pertengahan Januari, angsa-angsa whooper berdatangan ke persawahan di Kota Takashima, masing-masing berukuran sekitar 140 cm. Terkadang, mereka melebarkan sayapnya yang putih bersih, menampilkan keanggunan mereka yang membuat para penonton kagum.

Angsa whooper, juga dikenal sebagai angsa umum, merupakan burung migran yang melakukan perjalanan sekitar 4.000 kilometer dari Siberia ke Jepang setiap tahun selama periode ini. Menurut Pusat Burung Liar Danau Biwa, sekitar 670 angsa whooper telah terlihat di Danau Biwa pada musim ini.
