Toyota akan Melakukan Uji Coba Mengemudi Secara Otomatis di Jalan Raya Odaiba

Feb 13 (News On Japan) - Toyota Motor Corporation telah mengumumkan rencana untuk melakukan percobaan demonstrasi menggunakan kendaraan otonom di jalan umum Odaiba, Tokyo, pada awal Juli tahun ini.

Sebelumnya, Toyota telah mengoperasikan kendaraan otonom selama Olimpiade dan Paralimpiade Tokyo.

Eksperimen yang akan datang ini akan dipimpin oleh MONET Technologies, sebuah perusahaan gabungan yang didanai oleh Toyota, SoftBank, dan lainnya.

Uji coba yang akan dilaksanakan pada bulan Juli ini akan beroperasi di bawah sistem otonomi "Level 2", di mana operator di dalam kendaraan akan mengendalikan kendaraan sebagai respons terhadap kondisi tertentu.

Tujuan akhir dari percobaan ini adalah untuk mewujudkan otonomi "Level 4", di mana kendaraan dapat beroperasi tanpa pengemudi di dalam kondisi tertentu.

Honda juga memajukan rencana untuk meluncurkan layanan taksi otonom pada awal tahun 2026, yang menandai langkah signifikan untuk mengintegrasikan kendaraan otonom ke dalam transportasi umum dan mengatasi tantangan mobilitas di lingkungan perkotaan.
