TOKYO, Jul 10 (News On Japan) - In the Adachi Ward of Tokyo, the Nishiarai Daishi Temple, known for warding off evil spirits, is hosting the 'Wind Chime Festival,' a quintessential downtown summer event.
Colorful wind chimes made of glass, ceramics, and metal create refreshing sounds, adding to the summer ambiance.
The temple grounds feature around 300 varieties of wind chimes from over 20 locations across Japan, offering visitors a momentary escape from the summer heat.
This year, many wind chimes are also hung on the temple's wisteria trellis, creating a symphony of light and sound that resonates throughout the grounds.
The "Wind Chime Festival" will continue until July 21.
