Kanagawa Denies Mimicking Chiba's Dog Logo

Jul 15 (News On Japan) - Kanagawa Prefecture unveiled its new logo, 'Kanagawa-Ken,' last Friday, only to find itself facing allegations that the design closely resembles Chiba Prefecture's mascot, 'Chiba-kun.'

A woman in her twenties commented, "A dog? This is my first time seeing it, but it's cute."

A man in his twenties added, "Isn't it like Chiba-kun? It looks similar."

In response to these remarks, Governor Kuroiwa clarified, "We did not design Kanagawa-Ken with Chiba-kun in mind. Unlike Chiba-kun, Kanagawa-Ken will not be turned into a stuffed toy, so its usage will be different."
