Naked Man's Rampage Ends in School Break-In

Saitama, Apr 23 (News On Japan) - A naked man was arrested after trespassing into a cram school in Saitama Prefecture, with police suspecting his involvement in at least five incidents within 50 minutes, including a fatal hit-and-run and two car robberies.

The first incident occurred around 8:50 p.m. on April 21st, when a motorcycle was rear-ended at high speed on the border between Kawaguchi and Saitama cities. Minutes later and roughly 200 meters away, another motorcycle was struck from behind, killing the rider. Police suspect the same vehicle was involved in both collisions.

Security footage showed a black van believed to be driven by the man speeding through intersections and crossing into opposing lanes, nearly causing additional accidents. Soon after, the same man was seen completely naked—except for socks—approaching a vehicle, trying to force open the driver’s door and striking its window.

According to police, a woman in her 40s reported that her car had been stolen by a naked, tattooed man. Roughly 15 minutes later, the suspect allegedly used that stolen vehicle to approach a taxi, drag the driver out, and flee in the car, despite two passengers still being inside.

The abandoned taxi was later found with visible front-end damage. Around 9:30 p.m., the suspect was captured on video near a cram school in Soka City, about five kilometers from the taxi robbery site.

The school was finishing its evening session when the suspect reportedly entered the premises. A teacher noticed something unusual after a door opened, and upon checking, came face-to-face with the intruder. When questioned, the man struck the teacher with a mug. A student inside the classroom said the mug appeared to be empty and recalled the man grabbing at a female student’s clothing, though no students were injured.

The suspect was detained about one minute after entering the school, arrested on the spot for unlawful entry. When questioned, he reportedly said, "It would be bad if I talked about that," regarding the incident.

Police are continuing their investigation into the full scope of the man’s actions that night, believing the five incidents are all connected.
