NAGOYA, Jul 22 (News On Japan) - With the start of school holidays and the final day of the long weekend on July 21st, tourist destinations across Japan's Tokai region were bustling with families enjoying summer activities.
At Nagashima Spa Land, visitors were seen raising their hands and shouting in excitement, capturing the full spirit of the summer break. As many schools began their holidays, leisure spots across the region saw a surge of activity, with the day also recording some of the hottest temperatures of the three-day weekend.
At Uno Beach in Minamichita, Aichi Prefecture, one of the largest beaches in the region stretching about 2 kilometers, beachgoers enjoyed swimming and building sand art under the blazing sun, while the sea breeze offered a welcome relief.
Among the highlights was the return of the seasonal Wolfin Beach House, a pop-up attraction known for its exclusive shaved ice. This year’s specialty features "Kirigiri Crystal," a throat-soothing candy syrup produced by a Nagoya-based confectioner. The syrup is poured over finely shaved ice and topped with a generous portion of whipped cream in the center.
