HOKKAIDO, Jul 28 (News On Japan) - A wild brown bear was filmed attacking an Ezo deer on a national highway in Rausu, eastern Hokkaido. The footage, taken from inside a vehicle, shows the bear gripping the deer by the neck and dragging it into the forest.
The video, widely shared on social media on July 27th, captures the moment the bear crosses the road with the deer in its jaws. Wildlife experts are urging caution, noting that such predatory behavior is rare to witness but highlights the growing interaction between bears and populated areas in Hokkaido.
