HYOGO, Sep 28 (News On Japan) - The stone walls of the Takeda Castle ruins in Hyogo Prefecture emerged above the clouds as they were illuminated by the morning sun.
The sea of clouds, which tends to form when the temperature difference between day and night becomes more pronounced, appeared across the valley. Large numbers of tourists gathered on the opposite ridge to witness the ethereal spectacle.
A visitor from Tokyo said, "It was worth traveling 700 kilometers to get here." Another from Kobe remarked, "It was worth the climb up the mountain."
The sea of clouds is now entering its peak season.
