TOKYO, Oct 03 (News On Japan) - Former US President Donald Trump is arranging a three-day visit to Japan starting on October 27th, marking his first trip to the country in six years.
According to government sources, Trump is scheduled to hold a summit meeting with Japan’s new prime minister, who succeeded Ishiba, and also attend a dinner event during his stay.
In addition, Trump is coordinating meetings with the Emperor and with families of Japanese citizens abducted by North Korea, highlighting long-standing diplomatic concerns.
Attention is focused on whether the new prime minister can build a relationship of trust with Trump and strengthen the Japan-US alliance through this first round of talks.
